Women’s State Pairs Decided

The first hot day of  bowling for this bowls season, saw the Women’s State Pairs winners decided on Barooga’s new green.

In the semi-finals Carol Wigg and Ruth Burnett of Barooga overcame Loris Houlihan of Numurkah Golf and her partner Jenny Warfe of Cobram, 14/12. The winners of the other semi-final were the Numurkah pair of Ann Dealy and Pam Smith, who defeated Nan Smith and Tracey Miles of Finley by one shot, 15/14.

The final was another close match, with the scores being tied at the beginning of the last end. Ann Dealy and Pam Smith were able to score on the last end to give them the victory over Carol Wigg and Ruth Burnett 12/10.
