Taylor is Regional Champion in Novice Singles

Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club hosted the finals of the Regional Novice Singles, where spectators witnessed some excellent bowling by our up and coming stars.

Three out the four semi-finalists in the Women’s Singles were from the Murray Playing Area. Taylor Hills from Numurkah Bowls Club defeated Cheryl Mears from Tocumwal Golf Bowls Club, and Fran Thatcher of Barooga Sports was the winner over Deb Dunkley from Mooroopna Bowls Club.

In the final Taylor Hills stormed home over Fran Thatcher to win the game 21-15.

Both Goulburn Valley and Murray Playing Areas were evenly represented in the Men’s semi-finals. Andrew Hill from Finley Bowls Club defeated David Nicklos from Alexandra and Jono Thorne of Stanhope Bowls Club defeated Ron Dixon of Tocumwal Golf.

The final saw Jono overcome Andrew 21-11.
