State Pairs Title Defended

Ross Higgins and Jenny O’Connor from the Numurkah Bowls Club successfully defended their State Pairs Title at Berrigan, by defeating the Cobram pair of John Dixon and Joy Mynard. It was a great game of bowls with the scores level at 10 all going into the last end. It was a last bowl victory to the Numurkah Pair, with the final score being 12/10.

In the semi-finals the previous week Ross and Jenny had defeated Joe and Maree Luci of Numurkah Golf & Bowls 17/12, and John and Joy had a win over Carol Wigg & Mick Crawford of the Barooga Sports Bowling Club 20/3.

Ross and Jenny will next play the GV pair of P. Nichols and D. Hands for the honour of representing the Region at Bendigo. We wish them all the best.
