Region State Final success

The Goulburn Murray Region State Finals were played at Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club, with the State Event winners from Murray Playing Area competing against the Goulburn Valley Playing Area winners, for the honour of representing the Region in Bendigo from the 30 April to 8 May.

In the Ladies State Singles Linda Isted of Numurkah Bowls Club outplayed Goulburn Valley’s Sue Tyson to win 25/13.

The pair of Loris Houlihan (Numurkah Golf) and Jenny Warfe (Cobram) played a tough match against Stacey Collier and Lee Beattie, with the Murray pair coming out on top 19/16.

The Ladies Fours also saw victory to Murray. The Cobram team of Marj McDonald Kerry Baldacchino, Carol Mathers and Chris Dunne won 23/10.
