Murray Playing Area Champion of Champions

Over the past two Sundays the Cobram Bowls Club have hosted the Club Champions from each Murray Playing Area club as they competed for the title of Champion of Champions. The spectators were treated to some wonderful bowls over the two days.

The Ladies final was a repeat of the match played two weeks ago in the Ladies State Singles, although with a reversal of the results. This week Katrina Glover of the Numurkah Golf & Bowls Club was able to overcome Kerry Baldacchino of Cobram Bowling Club, 25-13.

In the semi-finals Katrina had defeated Jenny O’Connor of Numurkah Bowls Club 25-20, and Kerry had defeated Sue Jamison of Picola Bowling Club 25-20.

The Men’s final was played between Andrew Hill of Finley Bowling Club and Paul Glanvill of Berrigan Community Bowling Club, with Paul outbowling Andrew 25-7.

In the semi-finals Paul had defeated Wayne McGregor of Strathmerton Bowling Club 25-22, and Andrew had defeated Ray Parks of Cobram Bowling Club 25-11.
