Murray clean sweeps Over 60’s singles for CGM

Murray representatives Ian Smethurst of Barooga Sports Club and Loris Houlihan of Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club were both successful in the CGM Over 60’s competition today.

Ian defeated Ken Campbell of Kilmore in the first round, and then went on to defeat Ken Hoppner of Stanhope in the final 21/18.

Loris defeated Alisa Kell of Broadford in the first round, and then defeated Marg Thorne of Shepparton Park in the final 21/9.

Both Ian and Loris will now play in the final 16 for the State in Bendigo later in the year.
