Hall of Fame & Legend additions

NEW LEGEND

At the Presentation Afternoon held at the Barooga Sports Bowls Club, the status of Hall of Fame recipient Bon Sweeney was elevated to that of Legend. Bon was a champion bowler who represented Victoria for over ten years.  He began his career at Berrigan Golf & Bowls club and won many club championships between 1964 and 1984. He moved to Tocumwal Bowls Club in 1985 as one of the first paid coaches in our area. Bon was renowned for his ability to identify and then rectify a bowler’s problem. Many of our current players remember him as always being available to coach anyone who wanted some assistance.
