State Singles Winners for Murray Playing Area

The finals of the State Singles were played on the slick Cobram greens.

Four very good semi-finals were played in the morning. In the Women’s Linda Isted of Numurkah Bowls Club defeated Katrina Glover of Numurkah Golf & Bowls 25/15, and Loris Houlihan of Numurkah Golf defeated Sue Jamieson of Picola  25/23. In the Men’s John Dixon of Cobram defeated Ross Higgins of Numurkah Bowls Club 25/21, while Barry Cosgrove of Wunghnu was victorious over Roy Taylor of Tocumwal Golf 25/17.

In the finals Linda Isted overcame Loris Houlihan 25/14 to take the honours, and Barry Cosgrove did likewise over John Dixon 25/21.
