State Fours Winners

The finals of the State Fours were played at Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club in windy conditions.

The Mens Final saw the Wunghnu team of Peter Revell, Trevor Hosie, Graham King and Doug Larkin easily account for the Barooga combination of Ian Smethurst, John Sullivan, Gary Murnane and Jeff Nisbet. The final score being 25/5.

In the Women’s Final the Cobram team of Marj McDonald, Kerry Baldacchino, Carolyn Mathers and Christine Dunne got away to a good start against the Numurkah team of Ann Dealy, Pam Smith, Robyn Gilmour and Robyn Aumann. The Numurkah Team pegged Cobram back to equal scores, only Cobram were able to lift over the last few ends to win 20/14.

Both winning teams will now play against the Goulburn Valley playing area winners on either 27 March or 3 April.
